I took this picture almost a year ago, at my in-laws’ new home. It was so beautiful and there were SO many good places to take pictures. It was freezing though! I had to wrap my face, wear a hat and one glove. One glove because I needed one hand free to snap the picture!! Anyways, this picture is going up in our house. I am quite proud of it and truly, it looks like a postcard to me. What do you think?

Since I have decided to jump back into “people” photography, I put an ad on Craigslist, basically saying “I am working on my portfolio, if you let me take your (or your children’s) pictures and give me a model release, you can have a cd of the pictures free.” I got an incredible response and had my first session on November 8th.
I am so happy with these pictures and I believe, their mom was very happy too. So…here are the first “people” pictures I have seriously taken in several years.

This is a lemon blossom that we had growing last spring. I did do some burning as the leaf in the bottom, left corner was super bright. Otherwise, I made no digital changes to this picture. It was actually taken mid-to-late morning and I still got fantastic shadows!

It has been almost a year since I posted last. I vow to make a change. Since then, my darling husband bought me an SB-600 AF Speedlight. Yes, he is wonderful!!!
Without further ado – my sunset picture.

I will be back to post more! And I will add my gallery. I am even thinking I will start an on location only photography business.
