Dead Saguaro

When we were in Phoenix, we stopped at the new Bass Pro Shop so J could check it out. When he parked the car, I saw a really cool shot of a dead Saguaro cactus, that happened to be curling at the top ends.

Up Close with a Palm

When I was taking the palm tree pictures, I noticed how the bark made different shapes. It was really quite interesting!

Here are some more bark pictures that I took.

I’ll Fly Away

I spent most of Sunday morning trying to get these few shots of this hummingbird. They are so fast! Every time I thought I had him, ZIP! He was gone again. The little red one shown, was very territorial. He kept chasing the others out of the tree and courtyard area.

Some Thoughts

J and I have been talking about my pictures and we have come to the conclusion on a couple of things.

First, I need to be watermarking all of my shots. The last thing I want, is for someone to come along and steal the shots I work hard for. I may not be making any money off of them yet, but I work extremely hard to get these pictures. Plus, eventually, I want to sell these and other pictures. So, all of my pictures will carry my signature from now on.

Second, we decided it would be really smart if I go ahead and get ThroughTamsEyes Dot Com. So, I did. Hopefully, in the next couple of weeks, I will be moving everything here, to that domain. I will have the ability to do so much more!

I love to take pictures of flowers. I like to get up close and see all of the tiny details that you miss when you just glance at a flower. I took these shots in Phoenix when we were there for my birthday a couple of weeks ago.
